Jordan 13 Doernbecher Release Date 1

This year’s Air Jordan addition to the Doernbecher Freestyle collection is the Air Jordan 13, which gets a wild makeover compliments of 11 year old John Charles. A patient at the Doernbecher children’s hopsital battling Crohn’s Disease, John give the Air Jordan 13 a look quite unlike it’s ever seen before, featuring a glossy patent leather in snakeskin-embossed black and teal paneling. The shoe also sports a number of person touches by John, including his soccer number, a cartoon kid with a raised brow, “Crohn’s” on each outsole to signify how he wants to stomp out the disease, and seven pills to signify the medicine he takes ever day to manage his illness. The Doernbecher x Air Jordan 13 will launch alongside the rest of the 2015 Doernbecher collection on Saturday, November 21st on nike.com, at select* Nike retail locations across the country and at select Villa** and Shoe Palace*** retail locations, with all proceeds from the sales of the collection benefiting OHSU Doernbecher.
