Jordan Brand‘s 30th Anniversary has cashed in on some rare Michael Jordan memories. The “Shattered Backboard” Air Jordan 1s referenced a time MJ broke a backboard in an Italian exhibition game and the Air Jordan 7 nodded at his second championship with a remastered take on Cigars and Champagne. Now the Air Jordan 8 is coming into prominence for its own 23rd Anniversary and the Jumpman will nod at the Chicago Bull’s first trio of championships with the Air Jordan 8 “Three Peat”. Available on October 24th, the Air Jordan VIII sees a simple white perforated leather on the side panels coincide with contrasting black while the usual terrycloth circular logo is replaced with a unique hoop scribble to reference the Larry O’Brien trophy. The accent colors of Infrared 23, Bright Concord, and University Yellow all represent a fallen foe during the first three-peat. The Lakers (Yellow), the Blazers (Infrared), and the Suns (Purple). What do you think of this pair? Just incase you can’t wait until later this month you can grab this release now on eBay.
