This New Collab From Invincible Is One of the Best ASICS GEL-Lyte III’s of the Year

Atxinv Geliii 10

Celebrating the iconic split-tongued running shoes 25th anniversary, ASICS has fired up a number of collaborative versions of the GEL-Lyte III throughout the year. We’ve seen some pretty excellent renditions so far, but arguably none are more interesting or unique than this new version that Taiwan’s Invincible has crafted. Their GEL-Lyte III takes inspiration from back in 1542 when Portuguese sailors sighted the main island of Taiwan and named it Ilha Formosa, which means “beautiful island”, as well as the Crested Goshawk, which has the scientific name “Accipiter Trivirgatus Formosae”. Invincible outfits the shoe in a feather-like nappy suede utilizing the colors of the head and side grey colors of the Crested Goshawk along with the signature red, white and blue heel-tab that pays homage to the history and background of the Double Tenth Day observed in Formosa. The Invincible x ASICS GEL-Lyte III 25th Anniversary “Formosa” will be available at Invincible in limited quantities beginning October 10, followed by a drop at select global ASICS Tiger accounts soon thereafter.
