We already know what John Wall‘s next signature sneaker, the adidas J Wall 2, will look like but are we already getting previews of the pair he’ll be wearing the following year? This sample definitely has some adidas Y-3 DNA, as a neoprene upper sees one of the more unique midsole and outsole combinations we’ve seen come from an adidas basketball model while a full-length Boost cushioning system hides underneath. You can clearly see the J Wall logo on the tongue in a maze like enclosure to match the intricate traction pattern on the model’s bottom. The lingering influence of shoes like the Qasa is readily apparent here, as the futurist take on basketball models shows that adidas is ready to make the leap to have their performance models look even more lifestyle ready in the future. This could also be an off the court offering similar to what the three stripes were doing with a few D Rose x Y-3 pairs throughout last year. Whether this was a scrapped sample of the J Wall 2 or a look into what’s in store for the future remains unclear, but are you a fan of the look? Let us know in the comments.
