One of the biggest developments of 2014 was the revelation of the Jordan Future – a brand new design that adapted a fully woven/mesh upper with the sole of the Air Jordan 11. As expected, the public response was polarizing, with one group applauding the daring attempt at extending the lineage laterally and others deriding the Jordan Future for “cheapening” the legacy of the Air Jordan 11. The fact is, Jordan Brand will eventually have to create a new generation of footwear that operates on a different parallel because sooner or later, the consuming public will be comprised of people who weren’t even born when MJ took his Last Shot. The Jordan Future did experience success over the last calendar year, with various releases ensuring no shortage of that lovable Air Jordan 11 sole, and today we’re getting a look at the next installment of the Future line that will carry the brand into the next generation. It doesn’t need to be explained what the shoe is – it’s an Air Jordan 13 with a mesh upper that mimics the iconic design from 1998, and while a woven version isn’t shown just yet, you can expect that to be a prominent player when this shoe, potentially named the Jordan Horizon, comes into play. Peep the three upcoming colorways below and expect these in 2016.
