Calvin Johnson And Nike Hit The Bowling Alley

Calvin Johnson Nike Bowling Alley Inspiration

Nike made a big deal out of the fact that Calvin Johnson’s latest trainer would use their patented Flyweave technology. The flexible seamless knit upper, when paired with structural support from Dynamic Flywire creates a modern-day trainer that’s as comfortable as it is visually appealing. The Swoosh has showcased a signature eclecticism in regards to the colorways atop the Nike CJ3 Flyweave Trainer, as inspirations of paintball, baseball, and now bowling have all held down the upper in playful aesthetics. The marbled pattern on the heel nods to the smooth sheen of a bowling ball while ’81’ heel logos pay homage to keeping your own score card at the alley. Available at select retailers like Champs Sports tomorrow, August 21st. Stay tuned for more details and photos.
