Jam Master Jay Honored By adidas With This Incredible Sneaker

Run-DMC‘s My Adidas became a rallying cry for one of the seminal moments in hip-hop culture, as the group famously signed a deal with the German sportswear brand to pave the road for a climate where hip-hop artists collaborating with major sneaker companies is so commonplace. Jam Master Jay will go down as one of the most influential DJs in hip-hop history for his knack of reworking classic guitar riffs, but his life was taken too soon. adidas Originals is honoring the late Jam Master Jay with an awesome take on the adidas Pro Model. The colorway mimics the classic Superstars that Run-DMC championed, as gold accents on the heel spells out Jay. A pristine white leather allows for the black three stripes to stand out while a vintage-feeling cream shell-toe and outsole unit adds a classy finish.
