The Nike Signature Shoe Sequel That Never Happened

The Nike Signature Shoe Sequel That Never Happened

Nike Revis 2 Digi Camo

Recognize this logo? You shouldn’t, because Nike never released it. This is a sample of the Nike Zoom Revis 2, the sequel to the Nike Zoom Revis 1 that released in late 2012. The reception to the shoe was fairly positive and it was quite popular (even those most of the released pairs ended up at the outlets at awesome “steal” prices), the Revis 2 never came to fruition. This has less to do with the popularity of the shoe, and more to do with Darrelle Revis, the pro-athlete that the shoe was designed after. Revis was, at the time, the top cornerback in the game and playing in a huge market in New York. A trade to Tampa Bay and a series of injuries quickly pulled the rug from under him and Revis was no longer “signature shoe” worthy. So, we’ll never see the Revis 2 (at least this version) in the near future, but the signature line itself was promising because many sneakerheads and casual fans loved the shoe.
