Nothing in the sneaker world has been as annoyingly trendy as the all-red look purveyed by the Air Yeezy 2 of last February. It’s been a rather lazy way for sneaker brands to the attention of the “sneakerhead”, and sadly, it’s working. The Air Python, one of the more revered and mysterious Nike shoes from the 80s, is now an outlet pick-up thanks to the endless colorways that have hit stores. The Asics Gel Lyte V, like all of its brothers and sisters, has its strengths in suede and mesh materials. The adidas Pro Model is actually the most “original” of the three because Big Sean’s Detroit Player collaboration did pretty much the same thing. That said, let’s draw the line here and put the all-red snakeskin look to rest.
