Today, Nike unveiled the Nike Huarache 5 Lacrosse cleat, an all-new field-ready performance cleat designed with Huarache principles in mind. Legendary Nike designer Eric Avar, who was on hand for The Ride event at the WHQ, notes that this new product in the fast-growing sport of LAX features all that you need in a performance shoe – lightweight, secure, and dynamic fit. Paired with the upper construction of the Free Trainer 5.0 that allows for unique fit on the foot, the Huarache 5 Lacrosse serves up a total package for players of all positions and sizes. This new Thompson Brothers colorway pays homage to Jeremy and Lyle Thompson, two legends of the sport that have made huge efforts in spreading the popularity of the game across the nation. The T logo also features braid detailing, which is a nod to their Native American descent. These new cleats, designed by Jeff Rasmussen, officially release on October 1st, with the special edition “Water” Pack arriving on November 7th.
