Perhaps the most anticipated art exhibit in the sneaker community is finally opening tomorrow in the epicenter of the culture. The Brooklyn Museum will showcase “The Rise of Sneaker Culture”, a curated selection of 150 sneakers that changed the game forever. From Michael Jordan’s original Air Jordan 1 to some of the quirkiest collaborations (like Reebok’s partnership with high-end fashion house Chanel), this exhibit, made possible by the Bata Shoe Museum and the American Federation of Arts, is a must-see if you’re in the New York City area, but luckily we got a change to get a first-hand preview before the exhibit opens up to the public on July 10th. Check out what we saw below and be sure to see The Rise of Sneaker Culture at the Brooklyn Museum for yourself.
