The Nike Roshe Run and Nike Cortez are separated by nearly 40 years and don’t have much in common besides the Swoosh branding that lingers on the side panels and an attention to minimalist design cues. That didn’t stop the folks over at Nike Sportswear from creating the Nike Roshe Cortez hybrid for this summer though; In the same breath as the Nike Roshe LD-1000, the release sees the Roshe’s alternative natural motion outsole hold down the base. Gone are the ribbed insoles for one that sports a vintage ‘Blue Ribbon Sports’ branding to nod at the origins of Nike history. The latest colorway keeps things simple, as a premium black leather tooling contrasts white branding throughout. Continue onward for a better view of the latest Nike Roshe x Nike Cortez mashup and let us know if you think combining the two models is a worthwhile endeavor. Available June 18th at select NikeLab locations.
