Wale Has An Asics Sneaker Collaboration In The Works

There’s no need to look much farther than Wale when searching for the most legit sneakerheads in the hip-hop scene. In fact, Wale was a sneakerhead long before he became a household name in music, and his “sample connect” was ridiculously strong (he’s been spotted in shoes long before actual releases). The DMV-based personality has a collaboration with Asics and retailer VILLA in the works, and the first teasers seen here reveal a “Bottle Rocket” theme, which is a clear play on the July 4th and the tradition of exploding fireworks. Stay tuned for more details, but keep in mind that the release date for the Asics Gel Lyte III is June 26th.
