If you’re a child of the 1980s or ’90s, then you certainly remember waking up every Saturday morning and spending your day watching cartoons. The unfortunately extinct tradition is remembered at least a bit with this upcoming edition of the Air Jordan 5, inspired by the early ’90s Saturday morning cartoon series Pro Stars starring Michael Jordan, Bo Jackson and Wayne Gretzky. Taking color cues from the opening credits (watch below) of the series starring the three sports heroes saving the day (not while playing their respective sports, but fighting crime!), the Air Jordan 5 Retro features a white leather base with black, Infrared, and Poison Green accents throughout the upper. A first on the Air Jordan 5, the iconic reflective tongue gets a speckled treatment—which matches the midsole speckling. Take another look at the Air Jordan 5 “Pro Stars” ahead of their release on June 6th, and also keep in mind that pairs are up for grabs now via eBay.
