If you haven’t seen ESPN’s latest 30 for 30 starring the man partially responsible for the modern sneaker industry in Sonny Vaccaro, then you definitely need to check it out. Not only did he help Nike sign Michael Jordan, but he also helped create Nike’s coveted High School summer camp series. Now Nike has extended its offering to even younger kids with their Elite Youth Basketball League, and each of the near-500 players have received player exclusives the past few years featuring the EYBL insignia. The latest offering debuted a few days ago with the sneak peek of the Nike KD 7 Elite “EYBL”. The shoe features an almost copper finish and many wondered if this was Nike cleverly nodding at Durant’s hometown and their collective love for the Foamposite. Now for the first time in EYBL history, an exclusive will be releasing at retailers like Foot Locker House of Hoops and on Nike.com on May 8th.
