2014 was a big year for the seldom seen New Balance 530. Initially brought back to help bolster New Balance’s references to their 90s running collection, the silhouette also featured enticing collaborative efforts from KITH’s own Ronnie Fieg and WEST NYC. Now it looks like the Bostonian running brand will continue to push the model this summer, as a number of new mesh varieties bring back the original performance look. This pair does ditch that enticing mesh netting construction found on the OG pairs, but back is the bold ‘NB’ tongue branding while rich black leather overlays contrast tonal greys and vibrant red splashes throughout.
