The era of Nike Doernbechers before the Air Jordans got involved is somewhat forgotten. Many incorrectly believe that the Doernbecher Freestyle first started in 2007 with the Air Jordan 2 Retro and others, but these for-charity kicks in conjunction with Doernbecher Children’s Hospital goes back to 2004. This pair of Nike Huarache 2k5s is from 2006 and was designed by Kenny Clegg and were limited to just 650 pairs, but as we know Doernbecher releases became much wider in terms of production numbers.
