Dating back to its origins in 1969, the adidas Superstar has long been a multi-faceted sneaker. While birthed with basketball flowing through its DNA, the hertiage-based silhouette developed into a shoe with no boundaries, capturing all genres with an aesthetic now known to be timeless and far-reaching. For its 45th anniversary in 2015, adidas teamed up with Ateliers Heschung, a family run factory who manufactured shoes for adidas France in the 1970s. The outcome is the Consortium Superstar “Made in France.” Adorned in premium leather, the upper is stitched to the shoes foundational component, the rubber toe cap, while monochrome black leather maneuvers through the paneled Three Stripes and tongue graphics. The adidas Superstar ‘Made in France’ will be available starting December 12th at selected Consortium retailers globally.
