Bo Jackson is at the top of the list in terms of gridiron athletes who deserved their own signature. It’s a little difficult to warrant such a shoe given the fact that these guys end up wearing spikes on the field, but perhaps it was Bo’s all-around unworldly athletic persona and his dual sport status that allowed Nike to pitch him at the helm of a seriers of successful trainers. One of those shoes was this Nike Air Trainer Max ’91, a model that gives clues of its origin thanks tot he Huarache-like heel, an interesting strap (think Nike Air Raid and Air Jordan 8) and a variety of mesh and synthetic leather overlays that screams early 90s.
