Sneaker boutiques lucky enough to collaborate with major brands treasure the storytelling and product presentation aspect of the entire process. We’ve seen stores like Extra Butter hold special events in unveiling their shoes, while other spots embrace elaborate seeding efforts in order to get the word out. Boston’s Bodega has relied on the laurels of the design itself, because their last few collaborations, particularly with Saucony, have merely showed up at stores, which sorta takes us back to the old days when sick kicks just appeared on shelves. This latest installment of the Saucony x Bodega series focuses on the Shadow 6000 silhouette, with tonal suede uppers and a red/white floral print lining the insoles (a “Sweater Disc” nickname is floating around as well). We’ll wait for Bodega to come forward with an official backstory of sorts, but in the meantime, keep these on your radar because they’re hitting stores soon.
