Redditor Looks Back At His Membership in the Jordan Brand Flight Club

Jordan 3 Eminem Flight Club 2008

In the mid-late 2000s, Jordan Brand began Flight Club, an internet campaign that welcomed loyal customers to an exclusive online hub featuring a virtual Michael Jordan “trophy room” and much more. Anyone who remembers being part of the Flight Club will recognize the exclusive releases that were dropped (the Air Jordan 15 and the Air Jordan 2 “Eminem” being the most notable), but being a member of the Flight Club had its perks, apparently. Redditor pickyourbeard gave the r/sneakers sub a first-hand account about his membership at Flight Club, which eventually became defunct in 2009.

The Jordan Flight Club has recently extended to a group of Jordan Brand fanatics on Instagram (you’ll see them dropping some exclusive photos here and there). It seems that “Flight Club” is just an anchored label for these types of outreach initiatives, because the name actually originated in the late 1980s when Nike handed out mail-in postcards to anyone who wanted in. Just a note: Jordan Brand Flight Club has no affiliation with the sneaker consignment shop of the same name. Read the entire piece on Reddit and let us know if you think Jordan Brand should open up another members-only club of this nature.
