The New Balance 1400 hasn’t been too prolific in 2014. We’ll blame that on J.Crew, who previously had plenty of pairs to dish out but have since shifted focus to give a little bit more love to the New Balance 998. Finally offering up another pair is the “Authors Collection” New Balance group, which has featured plenty of covert callouts to pieces of literature via the insoles. That detail can’t be spotted this time around, so we can’t exactly pin down a connected book here.
