The potential mix of Air Max and Flyknit was one of the more exciting future developments about the new technology, but since its inception over two years ago, we haven’t seen much from that projected category yet. Photoshop renderings of Flyknit Racer uppers on Air Max 1 soles definitely had us excited, but nothing really came to fruition (the Flyknit Air Max turned about to be a brand new shoe). But don’t close to book on classic Air Max and Flyknit hybrids just yet; today we get a first look at a Flyknit Chukka silhouette paired with the new Air Max Lunar90 outsole, which only suggests that the previously mentioned Flyknit/Air Max hybrid could develop. But why not the classic sole? With Flyknit Chukkas being born with the Lunar, this transition to Air Max seems a bit more natural. No word on release info or if this new shoe is merely a sample, so check out the full photo below and stay tuned to Sneaker News for the latest.
