Back in 1992 there was a key division amongst Nike Basketball’s on-court offerings. There was the “Force” line, designed for bulkier players, and there was the “Flight” line, intended for the athletes who attacked the hardwood with a faster style of play. Debuting that year and quickly becoming a hallmark of the line was the Nike Air Maestro Flight 1, a sneaker worn by luminaries like Scottie Pippen, Ron Harper and John Stockton during the 1992-93 season. Of course that wasn’t the only place you could spot the sneakers back then – a young Jason Kidd also donned them during his freshman year at Cal.
