This week, we get a reminder that an even more obscure signature trainer is also on the horizon, though this one isn’t a retro because the mid-’90s original was scrapped and never made it to retail. The adidas Mutombo Trainer has an oversized tongue and tribal print midfoot velcro strap, along with another stability boost from the polymer Stripe/eyelet wings.
