A key player in Nike Sportswear’s SneakerBoot Collection, the ruggedized Free Run 2 is about to make its mark on the cold weather season. The Nike Free Run 2 Mid adds two eyelets and with it a relatively robust ankle collar, but is otherwise right in line with the extremely popular natural running shoe, right down to the Free 5.0 grooved sole. Setting itself apart from the original version, the Free Run 2 Mid blocks the rear of that sole in a contrasting color as an extension of the fortified heel support. Check out this subdued black/grey/white colorway in more photos below and stick with Sneaker News for updates on what looks like an October release.
