Nike Produces Two Different Versions of the Air Revolution “Safari”

Nike Air Revolution Safari Different

Last month, Sneaker News showed you a Nike Air Revolution dubbed ‘Safari’ for its use of a macro version of the ostrich leather-inspired print. This stretch of Safari along the mudguard also connected them to the classic Air Assault, but you might argue that this new revelation is a truer match. Appearing with a more traditional Safari spotting on the heels of the macro version hitting retailers overseas, this University Gold-accented makeup is fairly close to one of the 2007 Assault retros. So did Nike make a change somewhere and falter when distributing the shoes to retailers, or are there indeed two different versions of the Air Revolution inspired by the Air Assault ? The colorways are identical as is the official product code, (disparity in the University Gold is just lightning), although the Gold portion of the midsole is slightly different.
