The outsole on Nike sportswear’s various retro silhouettes is usually one of the last things to get switched around in the long process of modernizing a classic design. The Nike Dunk for example has had all sorts of VT and Hyperfuse versions over the past couple of years, and it’s only now that the immediately recognizable kit on bottom gets switched out for a more movement friendly Nike Free treatment. Of course the upper is indeed tweaked too, as there’s a bit of Fuse and Foam going on across the top as well.
