The world continues to wait for the return of Derrick Rose to the NBA, as the one time MVP and anchor of the Chicago Bulls squad continues to play it safe with regards to his ACL injury. He’s had the full support of the adidas team in his downtime, as the company has remained committed to his lineup of signature stuff. The partnership will continue with next season’s adidas Rose 4, previewed for the first time here.
The overall shape is a familiar one, but the model is far from a redux. The tongue collar this time around sports a zig zag treamtnet and the toebox has a quick, wavy line to break up the upper a bit. Also notable is the significant break in the back half of the sneaker, wherein the heel area construction appears to sport an entirely different build from the rest of the sneaker. By the time they hit stores we should see Rose back in action (Keep in mind that he started back at full contact practice in January of 2013), so we’d definitely expect them to move units on a more massive scale than that of the adidas Rose 3.
