The brand new Nike Free Alt Closure Run, pictured above, is one of those sneakers that has a clear predecessor that doesn’t get called out in the shoe name. That predecessor is the Nike Kukini Free, a remixed version of the Kukini silhouette that went with the oh-so-common route of slapping a Nike Free kit on the bottom. The Nike Free Alt Closure Run has a similar set up for both the upper, which uses that translucent webbed look, and the bottom, which uses a Nike Free 4.0 sole.
