Nike box labels are typically extremely useful. They display the UPC, model name, size, color and style info, often accompanied by a suggested retail price. But even with all that data, there are occasionally products whose descriptors don’t quite explain the whole story. Take for instance the latest Nike Free Huarache Light colorup, a design whose Vivid Sulfur, Flat Gold and white official colors make no mention of the black mudguard that covers half of the upper. Perhaps that’s because this design in some ways significantly different from when we’d seen the rendered version and its style code before. Those images depicted a Torch-like upper with smokey eyelets to match the grey sole. It’s interesting to note the differences as black rises for the eyelets atop a white Free sole; have a closer look below so you can let us know which version you like better.
