We usually associate the turn of the year from 12/31 to 1/1 to be some marker for a ‘fresh start’, but for Nike and its Air Max 1 offerings, it’s just another new day. We’re well aware of all the AM1 heat coming our way this January, and some extra attention has been directed toward the ‘OG’ build, which features the spongy tongue that is intended to be a throwback to the early eras of Nike. The tongue does accomplish that, but the Air Max 1 and that 70’s-style tongue is a bit of an anachronism, don’t you think? Regardless, this upcoming WMNS release is indeed a hot colorway (with Gary of CrookedTongues pointing out his opinion of 87s looking better on women), so peep the new gallery below and stay tuned for a release in January.
