Tinker Hatfield famously holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Oregon, and it’s clear he took his love for design in the right direction. Some people are meant to spend their lives designing buildings, and few did it more impactfully during the 20th century than Brazilian Oscar Niemeyer. Niemeyer (born months before Converse was established) helped to define the look of Brasilia in the 1950s, pushed the envelope when it came to utilizing reinforced concrete and sees his nonlinear approach to design carried over onto a quintet of Converse collaborative releases. The Oscar Niemeyer x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Hi, Oxford and Chukka Boot join the Skidgrip Ox and Jack Purcell lowtop with designs blending white, beige and red, and you can see all five below before they arrive at select Brazilian retailers this Wednesday, October 23rd.
