Vans has given more attention to the Half Cab’s first score than any other anniversary on record (the original Caballero hightop’s XX release was a mere blip, comparably), issuing Artist Series releases each month in honor of Steve Caballero’s scissor skills. The latest Vans Half Cab doesn’t appear to have any evidence of a team effort, though its white contrast-stitched black suede plus leopard fur underlay ends up referencing many other designers who’ve utilized these trends in 2012.
