30 years seems like a long enough gestation period before revamping a sneaker design right? The Nike Tennis Classic turned 30 just this year, and is apparently being prepped for a little makeover come 2013 in the form of the above pictured Nike Core Classic. The model maintains the lowcut profile of that sneaker, replacing the traditional leather with a treatment that looks almost Roshe like. Then there’s the backtab, jumping up a few inches in height and sporting perforated Nike branding.
