As we head into the winter months, we’re seeing a surge of ripstop nylon applications, this latest drop another in a growing set of skate sneakers borrowing the gridded material most often used on running and trail shoes. The Vans Old Skool has a vague military vibe with these olive and black colorways adding the rugged nylon for which they’re named to the expansive side panels and ankle collars.
