It’s crazy to think that we haven’t seen a new Puma Slipstream colorway in nearly three years, but at least the German Cat interrupted this ’80s basketball hightop’s silence with a timely new style. The ‘Snake’ Slipstream applies a generous portion of scaling to fully integrate its crisp navy and white palette, a move that makes them feel both fresh (snakeskin is a hot trend and a key part of Puma’s FW12 lineup), and hearkens back to the middle part of their decade of origin when ‘Python’ narrowly missed becoming 1987’s answer to Elephant print. Get comfy with the retro vibe thanks to more photos below and stick with Sneaker News to find out if/when these arrive at US retailers.
