In just two weeks, the world will descend upon London, England as the Games of the XXX Olympiad kick off as the torch is lit at the brand new Olympic Stadium. It gets serious from there, as the world’s most elite athletes battle for ultimate supremacy, and Nike will continue to offer the United States advantages in the form of superior sneakers and gear. Even US athletes’ medal stand footwear and sneakers are top-notch, like this Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low Light NRG you’ll see from just about all the ‘ball’ sport competitors. These were profiled in Nike’s own ‘Medal Stand’ pack press release without mention of a mens counterpart, but as an earlier close-up look showed us, the above pictured design differs from the upcoming mens style with a slimmer build (no sockliner) and a slimmed down take on the translucent sole setup. Have a closer look after the jump, let us know if this womens Air Force 1 Light can wrestle the gold from the mens version and stick with Sneaker News for US release info. via SM
