Nike LunarSpider R3 – Green & Red

Nike LunarSpider R3 – Green & Red

Nike Lunarspider R3

While it might be argued that Americans favor Max Air and Japanese runners prefer Zoom cushioning, Lunar-cushioned Nike Running releases have thrived on both sides of the Pacific since LunarLite debuted at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Here in the States, the LunarGlide, LunarEclipse and a host of upgraded classics have swept us away with their featherweight comfort, and now the latest version of Japan’s flagship LunarLon runner is ready to show off its super-breathable Flywire build. The Nike Lunar Spider R3 is the first one in this series we haven’t seen courtesy of Jun Takahashi’s GIRA collective, but they still have all the visual flair of the UNDERCOVER founder’s best thanks to bold zebra striping on a couple of intense colorways. Check out both in greater detail below and stick with Sneaker News for word on wider availability now that they’ve arrived at Tokyo’s Nike Harajuku.
