British born Flip headman Geoff Rowley has owned a Vans signature line since 1999 when he famously 50-50’d the Staples Center ledge, but we’re still somewhat surprised to his newest model join Off the Wall’s classics as part of this print-heavy summer. Then again, the Vans Rowley SPV is cut from the same cloth as icons like the Authentic and Era, and its Super Pro Vulc design is arguably even sleeker. Rowley is quoted as saying that “We’ve basically taken all the weight out of the rubber. There’s absolutely nothing internally in the shoe. It’s about as light and low cut as a vulcanized shoe could possibly get,” so while they’re as sleek as can be, this taupe old school deck pattern is sure to draw attention from shoppers at Vans stockists like Concepts.
