Vans LXVI

Vans LXVI

Vans Lxvi

On March 16, 1966, at 704 E. Broadway, in Anaheim, California, brothers Paul Van Doren, James Van Doren, and three other partners opened up their first store.  Forty-six years later, Vans is the world’s leading skateboard brand and singularly defines the look of California cool in a way most brands could only dream.  And while the original waffle soled classics still move units with ease, Off the Wall continues to push the envelope, the mysterious new Vans LXVI (66 for the non-Romans amongst us) bringing forth new design(s?) with new technology for a variety of action sports applications.  Click through to see the teaser video that lets us know “The Future [will be] Available 6.28.12”, let us know what you think of Vans opting for a more tech-oriented approach and stick with Sneaker News for the reveal next week.  via FNG
