Saucony’s Elite collection with Bodega and the recent 2×2 pack with Packer Shoes has given a bunch of attention to its once nearly forgotten golden age cushioning breakthrough. And while the Saucony Grid 9000 can’t stand toe-to-toe with a model like the Air Max 1 when it comes to pure historical significance, a smartly chosen collaboration can indeed show us how this design offered every bit the era-defining aesthetic as some of the more household names. So if you’re looking for a breath of fresh air in your classic running rotation, you can’t do much better than Sneaker Freaker’s Grid 9000 ‘Bushwhacker’, a ‘Tiffany’-plus-tan design whose speckled sole nicely integrates a colorway the likes of which we haven’t quite seen before. SNKRFRKR manages once again to subtly make its mark on a just-off-the-mainstream model, and just in case you forgot, there’s an ‘F’ stitched into the left-medial ‘S’ in addition to the SF 10th Anniversary footbeds that you’ll see in greater detail after the jump below. Sneaker Freaker’s Grid 9000s will be available starting Friday, June 29th at retailers like End, so click through to view more photos and stick with Sneaker News for word on a possible US release.
