The Nike Mayfly was conceived as an ultra-lightweight distance runner whose slight build suggests it’s a relatively short-term investment. And given the presumably limited middle ground between tag-popping ultramarathoners and the sneakerhead population, the Mayfly’s most attractive feature might be its distinct upper pattern. That’s gone in the latest rendition, though it’s easy to see how the Nike Mayfly Woven builds on that base. Instead of a printed design on a nylon upper, the Mayfly Woven offers a suede build whose unique weave means you’ll be able to add a color pop with carefully selected socks. Check them out after the jump and let us know what you think of the Mayfly now that it’s inked a lease in the Footscape neighborhood and how these compare to all the other woven lifestyle sneakers we’ve seen from Nike Sportswear over the years.
