Nike Sportswear’s Air Force 1 30th anniversary seems to be slightly slowing as we approach the Olympic summer as well as the Air Max 1 and Air Safari birthdays. Elsewhere in the sneaker birthday world, New Balance continues following their own deliberate pace, steadily moving forward as we approach the release of a drop commemorating three decades of attention to detail at their UK factories. The New Balance 576 will release in three colorways later this year designed by workers at the Flimby, England, manufacturing plant, their wordy tongue tags dictating that if we were to label these like some of their other products, they’d come with a ’30 Years of Manufacture in the UK’ nickname. Maybe the ‘Excellence Makers’ tag NB used for an earlier video that showed Andy Mandle, Billy Edgar and Roy Bell’s SMUs would be the most appropriate title, but the understated designs on this trio suggest that kind of detail isn’t as important as the craftsmanship that went into them.
