Nobody will ever truly know what went on in Michael’s mind when he decided to hang up his jersey, lace up some cleats, and then go back to the hardwood during that eighteen-month span in the mid-90’s, but at least we get to look at what went inside the first sneaker that was designed during Michael’s official retirement (remember, the Air Jordan IX design was completed before Jordan pressed pause in ’93). The latest victim of these sneaker dissections is the Air Jordan X ‘Chicago’, which hit stores this past January; each stitch in the upper is meticulously pulled apart, revealing spongy padding in the ankle, a full-length Air unit, and a few other things consistent with other Air Jordan dissections of the recent past, so check out the detailed gallery below and let us know if you copped the Chicago X back in January.
