In 2010, Nike Basketball capitalized on LeBron James’ decision to move from A (Cleveland) to B (Miami) and introduced the ‘South Beach’ LeBron 8, which today is considered to be one of the most coveted LeBrons of all-time and one of the most notable releases of the decade. The Miami feel-good vibes returned for the LeBron 9 in the form of the Elite, adopting a similar colorway to the ‘South Beach’ that had been officially dubbed the ‘Miami Vice’ by Nike LeBron designer Jason Petrie, and anyone who calls himself a LeBron fan surely has their calendars marked for June 2nd. Nike won’t leave the small-footed kick-fiends hanging, because a similar Miami Vice colorway of the Nike LeBron 9 will also hit stores; as you can see, these are not the Elite build, but carry a near-identical color-blocking to the $250 counterpart.
