While the ‘Blackout’ edition that popped up a short while back would probably be the most legendary of all Air Jordan XI samples, it was but a single shoe. And given how many Air Jordan XI ‘Eyelet’ mockups we’ve seen over the years, that variation might be the most widely discussed unreleased Eleven. Add it to the most recent pair that released (and on the DMP version, no less!) and we’re looking right now at another design that’s going to have Jordanheads buzzing.
These Air Jordan 11 DMP samples were constructed in August, 2005 in advance of the VI/XI Defining Moments Package launch in January of the following year, but these spell ‘JORDAN’ across their nylon eyelets unlike the pristine released version. The seller notes that some of the letters are slightly scuffed as a result of him pealing off the first coat of shrinkwrap in search of a proof of authenticity, so while this deadstock pair isn’t a perfect 10, its subtle blemishes offer further proof of its status as an elite collector’s item.
