One of the more surprising stories to filter out of the Sneaker News March Madness Non-OG Air Jordan Tournament was that the Air Jordan XI ‘Cool Grey’, a heavy favorite to win the entire tournament, was knocked out in the Final Four round of play. Had the Cool Grey XI come out on top, it would’ve been a three-peat for the Air Jordan XI in our annual March Madness tournament (winning the ‘Best Sneaker’ and ‘Best OG Air Jordan’ tournaments). Regardless of that fact, the Air Jordan XI will still experience a strong 2012 year; the ‘Bred’ as well as the ‘Columbia’ are rumored for a late 2012 release, with this White/Red Low-top officially hitting U.S retailers on May 5th, poised to take over summer sneaker rotations with ease. Are these a must-have for you? Considering it’s been quite a long wait since a patent-leather low-top XI hit stores, we expect these to be sure successes. Photos: HoopCity
