While purists still crave a true retro run, we’ve all been enjoying the recent spread of Huarache Free releases from Nike Sportswear encompassing both the running and basketball styles. Aside from their recent frequency and the shared addition of a grooved Free sole, we haven’t seen too much crossover between these two iconic early ’90s designs, but this black, Red Mahogany and Scarlet Fire take on the Nike Huarache Free 2012 is indeed similar to the B-ball version with those same colors. But at least when it comes to the multilayered mesh toe, these are more similar to the true ‘bred’ Huarache Basektball ’12s, and you’ll find these available now at NSW stockists like the one located at the center of the college roundball universe, Lexington, Kentucky’s Oneness.
