Those swiss-cheese pods that provided the Air Flight One with its character were something out of the ordinary for Nike, but then again, Nike’s got a thing for the ‘out of the ordinary’. The dimpled ovals on the upper of the Air Flight One appeared like craters on the moon, making the shoe seem like a space-boot rather than a lightweight basketball sneaker. It all comes full circle with the long-awaited re-release of the Nike Air Flight One, as it sees its first ever re-issue in two colorways – the OG ‘Orlando’ and the space-themed ‘Glow In The Dark’ NRG release. These will be available at select Nike Sportswear retailers like Sole Movement tomorrow so hold on tight because these All-Star releases are going to take you for a bumpy ride.
